BUYING Services

Align Corporate Advisors services three types of buyers.

Our Buyers

High Net Worth Individuals- These are experienced entrepreneurs or former corporate executives who seek an opportunity to create wealth.

Corporate/Strategic Buyers- These are established companies that seek growth or strategic opportunity by acquiring another firm.

Private Investment Groups- These are Firms that seek to acquire or invest in privately held firms in order to gain the highest rate of return for their investors.

These buyer groups typically have very different objectives and search criteria. Yet all of them seek acquisition opportunities that achieve a true fit with their goals.

Engagement for Proactive Search

The Proactive Search requires the buyer to pay our fees should a transaction take place. This arrangement creates the professional approach that maximizes the response we get from business owners. Buyers acting on their own behalf are simply not as successful in uncovering all the hidden opportunities that are available.

To identify the right companies to search for, that fit the buyer, we begin by identifying the specific business and financial characteristics of the company the buyer seeks. We then use different search techniques to identify ALL companies that meet the buyer’s criteria and contact each of them directly. Of course, not every owner we contact is willing to sell, but some excellent companies typically are available.

Experience has shown that many of the best acquisition opportunities are not on the market at all. These are businesses whose owners would consider selling if the right buyer came along. These are the best opportunities because the companies identified are often a better fit for the buyer and, perhaps most importantly, the buyer is the first one to look at it and the only one talking with its owner.

Once we receive positive responses from the companies we have targeted, we handle the following tasks:

  • Qualify the opportunity and arrange a confidential introduction for the buyer
  • Help value the business and structure the offer
  • Negotiate terms
  • Facilitate due diligence, and
  • Assist in arranging financing as needed.
